Presumed to lie in order of merit, the names of five referees adjudged'competent to control matches played under the New Zealand Appointment Board have Loon received hv the New Zealand Kugby Union from Thames Valley. The referee* names are: Messrs. A. W. Dunston (Wnihi), T. Turner (Te Aroha), E. Smith (Pa proa). H, Emmett (Wailii), and J. L. V. Reed (Ngatea).
