Mr. R. L. Clioules lias been admitted as a barrister of the Supreme Court of New Zealand by Mr. Justice Blair on the motion of Mr. Rees.
Mr. A. Sivenson, of Wellington, Mr. and Mrs. D. McLean, of Wanganui, and Mr. Herbert Brown and Mr. Mason Wood, of Melbourne, are at the Albert Hotel.
Mr. Ross M. Meikle, who for some time has managed the Queen's Theatre in Thames, has left for Palmerston North, where he will take over the Royal Theatre.
Sir James Gun son has informed the Auckland City Council that he will not be able to represent the city at the International Congress of Local" Authorities, to be held iu Spain in October of this vear.
During the absence of Mr. E. J. Righton abroad. Mr. O. X. Gillespie will act as president of the X.Z.M.P. Theatres' Association. 1 his has entailed resignation from his advisory office in Cinema Art Films, Ltd.
