The forthcoming election in the Tauranga constituency is likely to find three and possibly four candidates in the field.
Mr. D. C. Chalmers, of Whakatane, has been selected to stand in the Labour interests.
Mr. C. E. Macmillan, M.P., will again represent the Reform party. At a meeting of delegates appointed by the Country Political League, representatives from Taneatua, Otakiri, Paengaroa, Te Puke, Tauranga, Te Puna and Omakaroa were present. It was resolved to • select a candidate to contest the Tauranga election. Messrs. H. Gill and J. McGhie were appointed to attend a conference in Hamilton next week.
