RESEARCH IN PACIFIC.
THE MIGRATION OF EELS.

COPENHAGEN, May 18.
A round-the-world scientific expedition will start out in June to carrv out oceanographic investigations. The object is to attempt to solve a number of the problems of the Pacific, particularly the migration of eels. The leader of the party will be Dr. Johannes Schmidt. Ht formerly carried on marine researches and specialised in eels.
The expedition will work for two years, mainly on the coast of Australia, New Zealand, China and Japan.
