UNION OFFICIAL FINED £250
(Received 11 a.m.) BRISBANE, this day.
Mr. Andrew Brown, secretary of the local branch of the Seamen's Union, was
lined £200 under the Commonwealth Crimes Act for inciting wharf labourers not to coal the lighthouse steamers which were recently involved in a strike. The default was fixed at six months' imprisonment.
