PAVILIONS DESTROYED.

HEAVY LOSS TO MEMBERS

WHAKATANE, this day

A fire broke out at 2.30 this morning at the combined pavilions of the Whakatane bowling and tennis clubs. Both buildings, with their contents, consisting of lawn mowers and markers, dozens ot sets of bowls, shoes, bags, etc., were destroyed.

Each club had an insurance of £75 on its building and £25 on the contents.
