IRISH "GUN PLOT."

Reason For Smuggled Arms Revealed. MINIATURE RIOTS IN LONDON. / (Received 10* a.m.) - LONDON, March 30.

Investigations by Scotland Yard throw a new light on the gun plot recently reported. It appears that the guns and munitions found were not intended for the Irish Republican Army, but to create a reign of terror in London in the event of further trouble in Ireland. Threehundred men were to be available to stage miniature riots and to resort to every means to prevent troons going to Ireland.

It was reported early in the week that in connection with the gun-running from the Continent to Ireland for the Irish Republican Army the Scotland Yard authorities had discovered 56 revolvers and 10,000 rounds of ammunition secreted at the London docks. It was believed that these came from Antwerp and were awaiting distribution.
