SHUNTING MISHAP.

TENDER OFF THB DELAY AT PUKEKOHE. (From Our Own Correspondent.) , PUKEKOHE, this day. During shunting operations at the Pukekohe railway yards this morning the undercarriage of the tender of the engine of the 7.15 a.m. Auckland-Frank-ton mixed train japped the points of the third set of railffat the southern end of the station. Both bogies left the track, and the efforts made immediately to replace them were unsuccessful. Another engine was obtained, and the train departed at 10.30 a.m., 80 minutes behind schedule.

Little damage was done to the track, and the undercarriage also appears undamaged.

Passenger trains were not interrupted, but goods trains which required shunting here were held up for some time before the tender was replaced.
