ft is officially Announced that the Attorney-General, Sir Douglas Hogg, Lord Chancellor, in succession to Viieount Cave, who has resigned owiag to ill-health. Sir Douglas Hogg, who receives a barony, is succeeded as AttorneyGtneral by the Solicitor-General, Sir Thomas Inskip, who, in turn, is succeeded by Mr. Frank Merriman, M.P. Mr. Merriman receives a knighthood and Viscount Cave receives an earldom.
