FALL'S DENIAL.
Bribery Charges In Oil Lease
Scandal.
HARDING'S ASSENT
(Received 10 a.m.) EL, I'ASO (Texas), Match 2S. Mr. A. B, Fall, formerly Secretary of the Interior. gave an interview in which he declared that the Teapot Dome oil lease was ''the most financially advantageous deal ever made for the Government." He reiterated the denials regarding alleged bribes and suppression of news about the leases. The principal feature of the interview was Mr. Fall's production of a: copy of a message allegedly from the late President Harding, reading: "I think it is only fair to say in this connection that the policy adopted by the Secretary of the Navy, Mr. Denbv, And the Secretary of the Interior, Mr. Fall, dealing with the matter, was siitynitted to me prior to its adoption, and the policy decided upon and the subsequent acts have at all times had my, approval."
It is expected that Mr. Fall in his anticipated testimony before the Senate wilt maintain that President Harding had a complete knowledge of the situation regarding the leasing of the oil fields to the Sinclair interests.
