pace at which cross-country races were run in those days would make his task less severe than Clan Robert would have now that the horses go so fast. Clan Robert has been weighted at 13.4 for the Great Eastern Steeplechase, to be run at Onkaparinga on Easter Monday, and Mr. Falkiner is contemplating sending him to New Zealand to run in the Grand National Steeplechase in which the maximum weight is no more than 12.7.
