FIGHTS THREE DUELS.

TO PROVE PATRICIAN INDUSTRY.

The exclusive salons in which the Roman nobility congregate are buzzing with gratification over the exploits of Marquis Capranica del Grillo, who was the hero of three duels recently. The belligerent marquis fought the three battles to defend the aristocracy against charges in two Fascist papers that the noblemen are beooming indolent and good for nothing.

Following attacks printeu in the newspaper "Impero" from the pen of Sig. Mario Carli, its editor, the marquis called to protest, and fisticuffs ensued. Finally, juet after the second duel, one of the seoonds inadvertently remarked that he was completely in accord with Signori Carli and Zanzi in their denunciations of the patricians, whereupon the marquis challenged Sig. Zanzi's second, and with a third duel settled {the dispute triumphantly in favour of ithe aristocracy.

Until the new penal code goes into effect the duellers can only be sentenced to three driy suspended jail sentences under the present laws.
