Lovedart, who brought him home, was not caught until more than two furlongs had been covered. Chide ran the last half-mile in 40 3-ss. He finished strongly, and it was a very attractive performance.

First Sight was allowed to stride along over half a mile.

Silver Coot, assisted by Amourette over the last half-mile, covered six furlongs in 1.15 3-5, showing a lot of speed over the first part of the journey.

After tf'kmg 25 3-5s for the first two furlongs they got to the end of six in 1.18 2-5. and did the full journey in 2.13. the last halfmile taking 54 3-ss. Starflight, who had a pull of about 71b in weight, finished in front and registered a good gallon. Foot fall's effort was satisfactory. He looks bright and 'well, and shows promise of coni'ng back to liis beat form.

Gay Crest occupied 52 2-5s for half a mile. Battle Colours was responsible for an attractive gallop over a mile. Polvdectes ioining in for the last seven furlongs. The half-mile was reeled off in 50 l-ss, and the full journey took 1.44 3-5. with Battle Colours going better than his mate at the finish. Battle Colours is very well.

Fair Exchange was much too good for Crossbow in a six-furlong spin, run in 1.16 2-5. @

Full Feather and Prickles were not doing their best at the end of six furlongs on the plough, which occupied 1.17 4-5.

Nincompoop beat Tarleton over six furlongs in 1.17 3-5. Nincompoop went well all through and finished well.

Front Rank covered seven furlongs on the plough by himself in 1.31 4-5.

Money Order ran five furlongs in 1.5 4-5, but was not hurried at any stage. Luminant and Honeycomb covered six furlongs on the plough in 1.18.

Rapier was slightly in front of Don Jose at the turn for home, but Don Jose finished strongly and he was on terms with his rival at the finish, Lancer being several lengths away.
