WORLD'S BIGGEST DAM.
LONDON, February 3.
The contract for the sluice gates for the Sukknr Barrage on the river Indus, the largest of its kind in the world, has been placed by the India Office with an Ipswich firm.
A gate, 00ft wide and 18Aft deep, weighing about 40 tons, will be fitted in each of the 66 spans of the barrage.
