"THE BIGGEST FISH."

LADY ANGLER'S SURPRISE CATCH. A fishing party, including several ladies, went down to the Manukau Heads from Onehunga on Sunday for a day's fishing. A prize was offered to the lady who caught the biggest fish. The honour fell to Miss Ivy Porter, who, in addition to catching the biggest fish, got an equally big surprise when she tried to haul it in. This was a 6hark Oft 6in long. Instead of Miss Porter landing the fish, it took charge of the launch and towed it about the harbour for a long time, as Miss Porter had made the line secure to the launch before throwing out the bait. The shark was finally hauled on board the launch and secured by the men, the prize proving too heavy for Miss Porter to do the job by herself.
