CRIME ABROAD.
EXTRADITION QUESTION. OTTAWA, February 5. In the House of Commons Mr. C. H. Cahan (Con., St. Lawrence and St. George's), said it had been laid down by the Privy Council that tiic Parliament of Australia and the Parliament of Canada had not a jurisdiction equal to that of Mexico, Patagonia or any Power, from Liberia down to Monaco. He referred to the power to bring home and to punish by Australian or Canadian law its citizens who might be guilty of a crime beyond the confines of their own States.
