SLEEPING MAN GRAZED,

TE KUITI, Tuesday.

A large piece of concrete was thrown through the window of a house in Te Kuiti at 1 o'clock this morning.

The concrete knocked over a flower stand and grazed the forehead of a young man who was sleeping. He was slightly scratched and dazed by the blow.

The owner of the house, in which the young man is a visitor, ran outside at once, but saw no one, and the police afterwards searched the neighbourhood without result.
