MATCH AT TAURANGA.

TAURANGA, Tuesday.

A triangular shooting contest was fired yesterday on the Tauranga rifle range, between teams of six men from the Opotiki, Whakatane and Tauranga Rifle Clubs. Whakatane won with a score of 480, Opotiki being second with 461, and Tauranga third with 456. Details are:— Whakatane. —Law 86, Keeley 84, Armstrong 80, Anderson 78, Macfarland 78, Newton 74; total 480. Opotiki.—Hollard 03, Joblin 90, Saunders 74, Stevenson 71, Lambert 70, Sydenham 63; total 461. Tauranga.—Mlrrielees 91, Oliver S3, Mcintosh 75, Johnston 73, Poole 73, Floyd 61; total 450.
