FIRE BRIGADE CONTEST.

TAURANGA, Tuesday. The following are the results of the Fire Brigade contest:—
Chilton Cup.—Rotorua won the three events. The competitors were : Kotorua, Whakatane and Tauranga. Competitions comprised the following events :—One-man dry event, two-men dry event, and four-men motor event. Itotorua won all the three events, ecoring 13 points in securing the cup from Tauranga Brigade. Tauranga were second with 7 points, and Whakatane third with 5 points. Other events were :— Two-men Event. —Te Puke, 1; Tauranga, 2; Rotorua, 3; Whakatane, 4. Three-men Event.—Te Puke, 1; Tauranga, 2 ; Rotorua, 3; Whakatane, 4. Two-men Event, for Members of Tauranga Fire Bridagc.—Foremen A. Griffiths and J. Downey, 1; Foreman A. Stewart and Fireman J. Griffin, 2.
Times wero rather slow owing to low pres sure of water caused by dry spell.
