LATEST CATCHES AT RUSSELL,

RUSSELL, this day,

Mr. J. C. Hooke, of New South Wales, who is a guest of the Zane Grey Sports Club, on his first day out yesterday landed a mako weighing 1121b, also two kingfish of 521b and 541b. This is Mr. Hook's first experience of deep sea angling, and he is much impressed by its thrilling sport. Colonel Strutt, of England, also commenced by capturing a mako of 2171b.

Other catches are: Mr. Burrett, Gwordfish 2301b, makos 1791b and 2031b; Mr. G. Reade, mako 1851b; Mr. Neville Fuller, mako 981b. 8
