WHANGAREI TOURNAMENT. WHANGAREI, Monday. The Whangarei Croquet Club's tourney was continued to-day. Following were the results :— A GRADE. Singles.—Mrs. Harrison defeated Mrs. Pope, 26—21 ; Mrs. Parker-Hill debited Mrs. Higginson, 26—10; Mrs. Laurie defeated Mrs. Mackie, 26 —24 ; Mrs. ParkerHill defeated Mrs. Mackie, 26 —6; Mrs. Delaniore defeated Mrs. Higginson, 2G—2O ; Mrs Clarke defeated Mrs. Cahill, 26—13; Mrs. Crane defeated Mrs. Mackie, 26—12; Mrs. Pope defeated Mrs. Morrish. 26—10 ; Mrs. Wilson defeated Mrs. Marshall, 26—20; Mrs. Clarke defeated Mrs. Sword. 26—16 ; Mrs. Walker defeated Mrs. Grant, 26 —6 ; Mrs. Laurie defeated Mrs. Higginson, 26—7. Doubles.—Mesdames Webber and Hodge defeated Mesdaines Marshall and Crane. 26—24 : Mesdames Webber and Hodge defeated Mesdames Walker and Laurie, 26 —19. The last game gave the winning pair the section, and they will play Mesdames Parker-Hill and Clarke in the final. B GRADE. Singles.—Mrs. McKinstry won by default from Mrs. Weston ; Mrs. McKinstry defeated Mrs. McPhee, 26—20 ; Mrs. McPhee defeated Mrs. Baigent by default. Mrs. McPhee was the section winner. Sirs. McLean, the winner of the second section, drew the bye. and the other two winners played off the semi-final, Mrs. McPhee defeating Mrs. Smith.
