CUT THROUGH TO BONE

(By Telegraph—Press Association.)

TE KUITI, this day.

Mr. F. Workman, manager of the Whakaroa Estate, was operating a farm engine on Saturday when he received injuries to his right arm, which necessitated its amputation.

Workman was working the engine, which had been recently installed, when one of the blades of the fan flew off, striking his arm just above the elbow and cutting right through to the bone. He was taken to the Waikato Hospital, Hamilton, yesterday morning. His condition is fairly satisfactory.
