ALTERATION IN RUNNING OF EVENTS. The Takapuna Jockey Club has decided to alter the order of the running of events on Saturday. The Borough Handicap, which was the third race on the programme in previous years, is to bethe last race, and the Cheltenham Handicap, which was. the last, will now become the third race. The Takapuna Plate. Scratchings in the Takapuna Plate have now reduced the field to twentythree, and therefore it will not be necessary to divide the event. Those remaining in are: Royal Doulton, Antrim Boy, Judge's Box,"War Officer, Subdivision, Lady Robinson, Abbey Day, Value, King Arch, Town Bird, Abbess, Modest Boy, Miss Potoa, Macroom, Carinthia, Ti-tree, Storm Fiend, King Peg, Whaka King, Saucy Lass, Yaqui, La Roma, Takutama.
