ARRIVAL OF MR. L. S. AMERY.
AUCKLAND ARRANGEMENTS.
WELCOME BY PRIME MINISTER.
The Prime Minister (Rt. Hon. ,T. G. Coates), accompanied by Mrs. Coates, will arrive in Auckland 'by the Limited on Monday for the purpose of welcoming the Rt. Hon. L. S. Amery, Secretary of State for the Dominions, who, together with Mrs. Amery, is arrivin" from Sydney by the Niagara on the same day. The Premier's visit to Auckland will be of short duration, for he has arranged to return to Wellington the same evening.
At noon on Monday the visitors will be accorded a civic reception at the Town Hall, and in the evening there will be an At Home in the Town Hall. During the afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Amery will visit the top of Mount Eden in the company 9f the Mayor and Mayoress. They wiil also go to the Ellerslie racecourse, to attend a reception which is being held under the auspioes of the Victoria League. Navy League, Overseas Club and Royal Colonial Institute.
On Tuesday. Mr. Amery will be the principal guest at a luncheon at the Town Hall, arranged by the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, Manufacturers' Association and Employers' Association. Tn the evening he will be the guest of the Northern Club at a private dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Amery will probablv leave for Wellington the next evening. *
