CONSIDERED BY CITY COUNCIL.
• C r s i d , eratlon the transport finances took P lace at a meeting of the City Council which was held last evening in committee. The meeting occupied almost four hours. The Mayor (Mr. Geo. Baildon) said today that recommendations would be made to the council at its ordinary meeting next Thursday. The position of the various branches of the city transport service was fully discussed, and the meeting also dealt with the question of developing the proposed new watershed area in the Hunua Ranges, following upon a recommendation by the Water Commission and reports by the City Council's officers.
