FRANKTON SHOP GUTTED.

HAMILTON, this day, A fire occurred this morning
premises occupied by Mr. R. G. Aitken, tabacondst, in Commerce Street, Frankton. The stock and fittings were destroyed and the stock of adjoining premises, occupied by Mr. O. Good, was damaged by smoke.
HOUSE AT KAKAHI. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) KAK A HI, this day. A four-roomed house was destroyed by fire about 8.30 o'clock on Sunday night. The furniture in two rooms was also lost. The house was not occupied. FARMHOUSE BURNED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) ROTORUA, this day. A six-roomed house owned and occupied by Mr. M. Overall, farmer, on the Maraetoa Road, one and threequarter miles from Mamaku, was burnt to the ground early this morning. The occupants escaped in their night attire. Nothing was saved. The property was insured.
