DUNEDIN, Monday. In the" final match in the Football Association trophy competition series Otago v. Canterbury, played on Saturday at Carisbrook Park, which wag in splendid order, Canterbury had to defeat Otago by a clear four goals to equal Auckland's record, but could onlv win by 3-1, and the trophy consequently remains with Auckland. The first spell was slightly in Canterbury's favour, the visitors showing mora forward combination and sounder defence.
