CANARY CLUBS.

FANCIERS' SOCIAL EVENING. In connection with the prize-giving of the combined Auckland Canary and Cage Bird Club and the Yorkshire Canary Club, a social was held in the Paget Street Hall on Saturday evening. A large attendance of fanciers and friends yas presided over by Mr. T. W. Brown. The patron of the club, Mr. Ernest Davis, who presented the prizes, congratulated the winners on their success. After the presentation of prizes a pleasant evening was spent in musif and dancing, Miss Pearson's Jazz Band supplying the dance music. The following artists contributed items: Mr. Hare's Guitar Trio; Mr. F. Belcher, song; Mr. Ogden, song: Miss Eileen Tong, dance; Miss E. Thome, piano solos and accompaniment.
