MUSHROOMS IN TWO MONTHS.
i "Dung, warmth, moisture—then mushrooms in two months." So says the "New Zealand Smallholder" in an interesting article in its August issue describing the out-of-season cultivation of this esculent. Here is a chance for some enterprising persons to become a little mushroom king of New Zealand, for the "Smallholder" declares there is at present no commercial producer of mushrooms an the Dominion but an assured market at from 1/6 to 3/0 per lb. The journal explains the process of out-of-season mushroom cnlture in a very interesting article with illustrations, and says anybody with a box, a shed, a plot of ground, or a basement can easily grow mushrooms anywhere.
