POSTER DANCE.
The poster dance held last evening proved the most successful and populai yet given by the Te I'apapa public hal; management. The hall was heautifully decorated withflags, festoons of streamers in various c >»ours ana fairy iights. The floor was excellent. Shadow and spot lights were used in special waltzes, which were greatly appreciated by young and old. In the grand march the was much admired for their originality and attractiveness. Mr. H. Austin wan in charge, and Mrs. \V. Powell, of Royal Oak, presented the prizes. The costumes on the whole were well carried out. Prizes were awarded to: Mrs. L. Bouzaid. "Weldon's Fashions"; Miss M. Whitehead, "Oak Jams"; Mrs, F. L. • Babbinjrton, "J.C'.L. Stai Attraction"; Mioses Potter and Thomson, "New Zea'and Herald"'; Master Cecil Austin. "Seedless Kaisins"; ML-? P. Martin, "Sunsweet Prunes"; Mr. N. Byce. "Humour"; Messrs. Smith an-i Larking, "Bing Boys." Other costumes were as follows:—Miss O. Thompson "Kat More Fruit"; Miss G. Whitehead "Sylvia Starch": Miss J. Putt, "Wai Wai Drinks"; Miss I. Heaney, 'Snowdrift Flour"; M'ss J. Patterson "Bycroft's Biscuits"; Miss L. Mumford "Swan Ink"; Miss L. Orman, "Star Twinkles"; Miss J. Weaver, "Nc Rubbin' Laundry Soap": Mies M. Orman. "■Women's Weekly"; Miss N. Clarke "Gold Flake Cigarettes"; M ; ss E. Wilson "Three Castles": Miss D. Mclndot-.
