MUTUAL CLUB.
There was a large gathering at the. At Home -held by the members of the Mutual Club at their club rooms last evening. Floral decorations of black and tangerine, to tone with the scheme of the room, were used. Iceland poppies in golden shades were arranged effectively in tall standing baskets and streamers of the same shade were hung across the room making a gay effect. Huge bowjs of arum lilies and violets were in the lounge. The guests were received by Mrs. O. Brett, president of the club, Mrs. Von_Stunner, senr., vicepresident, and the Hon. E. W. Alison. In a short speech Mr. Alison welcomed those present and expressed much..pleasure at the large attendance. Mr. G. Baildon, Mayor of Auckland, was present. A bouquet of violets framed with dwarf daffodils and maidenhair fern was presented by Miss Lynette Owen to Mrs. A. D. Campbell, Mayoress, -. who wore a frock of embossed chenille. Mrs. Brett wore rose georgette and gold embroideries and Mrs. Von Stunner was in .Nile green georgette and sequins. During the evening an enjoyable n?"*"** P™* gramme, arranged by Mr. C. Crowther, was contributed. Songs were -fcne*]qr Mrs. Rees, Miss Brierly, Mr. C-jCrowlher, Mr. <3. BSehardeon and Mr. Whitehead. Miss Grevatt gave.a charming harp solo and Mr. Foster played the banjo. A
fancy dance was given by a pupil of Miss Daphne Knight. After supper the guests jazzed to excellent music. E. Warnock, blue embossed georgette; Mrs. S. Robertson, sequined frock; Mrs. Jacobs, black and silver; Mrs. F. Bell, black and silver lace; Mrs. Cahill, black georgette beaded in silver; Mrs. M. Phillips, Mack panne velvet and silver; Mrs. Pratt, gold lace; Mrs. Gollagher,i grey georgette and silver; Mrs. Chisholni, Duchess blue georgette and silver; Mrs. Matrick, cerise georgette; Mrs. Rees, floral tissue; Mrs. Rogen, cyclamen georgette; Miss Flatt, black crepe de chine;' Miss E. Carnachan. cinnamon brown embossed chenille; Miss Grevatt,. gold lace over cyclamen; Miss Walker, floral taffeta; Miss J. Nairn, apricot brocaded crepe de chine; Missr Olsen, turquoise velvet; Miss MeCullough, grey beaded georgette; Miss Barnett, black lace frock; Miss Owen, black velvet; Miss Brierly, gold tissue; Miss Loming, bois-de-rose crepe de chine; Miss Bell, scarlet georgette and fur trimming; Miss Gould, black and silver; Miss Allen, white and silver; Miss V. Edgecumbe, pale pink georgette; Miss D. Steel, cream georgette; Miss Dunn, salmon pink panne velvet.
