MINING NEWS.
OCCIDENTAL UNA. The manager telegraphed yesterday evening : "Secured 101b of piefcee; gold still showing." This is the first picked stone reported since the present company was formed to work the Occidental and Una properties. MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS. Moanataiarl.—The manager reports that No. 1 winze on reef has been suns! sft, a total of 34ft. The reef averages 2ft 6in wide and is a nice compact body of stone carrying a fair amount of mineral, ruby silver and blend. Colours and dabs of gold were seen in the stone. New Waiotahl.—Report for week ending Autrust 13: The drive hill ward for the Waiotahi-Combria reef has been advanced Bft for the week. The country continues to be a bard grey andesite with fairly strong flow of water making through the heads.
