REFUSED A MEAL.
SEA MATT BREAKS WINDOW.
ACT OF RETALIATION.
"He pushed me out through the door, and I came back through the window," said John Casey, aged 42, in the Police Court this morning, before Mr. Hunt, S.M., when he was charged wfyh wilfully damaging two panes of glass, valued at £2 10/, the property of Mate Franicevic. Mate Franicevic stated that at about ten minutes past six last evening accused came to his dining rooms for a meal. At accused had no money he was refused and went out. He later came back when he was again ordered out. He went, but soon afterwards witness heard his two windows being broken by stones. A constable stated that when he arrested Casey, who had had a drink or two, he admitted throwing the stones. Casey said that he was a seaman and had been ashore only a week, and that he had no money. Accused was fined £1 and ordered to make good the damage.
