BLENHEIM-MARLS OROUGH.

OPENING CEREMONY TO-DAY,

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)

BLENHEIM, this day. The Hon. K. S. Williams, Minister of Public Works, and fifteen members of Parliament arrived in Picton this morning by the Tutauekai and proceeded to Blenheim, where they were officially welcomed and entertained at morning tea. They afterwards visited a depot, where concrete poles are manufactured. This afternoon they went to the headworks of the hydro-electric power scheme. In the evening, after a formal dinner, they will participate in the turning on of the electric current, and they will return to Wellington about midnight.
