KNOCKED DOWX BY CAR.

Mr. L. E. Baird, aged 23, who resides at 78., Paget Street, Ponsonby, received injuries and shock through being knocked down by a motor car while riding a bicycle in Ponsonby Road, near the reservoir, at 5 o'clock last evening. He was admitted to the hospital, where his condition has improved slightly.
