CHARGES FOR CONVENIENCES.
My experience as regards paying for chiloren in the Auckland conveniences is contrarT i to Miss Alice Batten's statement that children are free. Not long ago I invited four young , children of struggling parents in the backl blocks to my home for a holiday. I am *■ > working man's wife, and 1 took them to town i for a special treat. A convenience was visited r and one child slipped in without paying. Tba 5 attendant shouted, **Do you think this is a. free show*" I put another j>cnny in. not i minding in the least. Nevertheless, all young » children should be free. 1 know mothers with » one child are charged but one penny, but I am 1 writing particularly for mothers with threa i and four children. 1 ALL YOUNG CHILDREN FREE.
