MELBOURNE, this day.
At the Premiers' Conference, Mr. J. T. Lang, N.S.W., accepted the Commonwealth Road agreement, which provides for building roads with the aid of Federal grants, involving an expenditure of £20,000,000 of the Commonwealth funds. This will spread over ten years. After the meeting, which was in camera, Mr. S. M. Bruce stated there was bow every prospect of a unanimous agreement on all the Commonwealth's financial proposals, Mr. Lang having indicated his willingness to give way on a number of important details.
