MiKcan .it the Police Court today. Mr. Fennell raid that Mr. J. J. Sullivan, who was- appearing at the Supreme Court this morning, desired a remand until to-morrow morning, with the request that accused should be allowed bail on hi* own recognisance. Sub-InsjKvtor Lewin. who said thai lie had all hi* witnesses present in court, informed the magistrate that on Saturday accused spoke to several men in a hotel, telling them that he was a detective, and that lie wanted their names. "I'm a detective."' he told them. Two surprised young men said that they had done nothing wrong, but one gave his name, which accused actually noted. The magistrate granted the remand, and fixed bail in one euretv of £">O.
