Mure than lour years ago a number of settlers proposed t<> build a light railway between Frankton and Raglan, but their efforts wore successfully opposed by oilier settlors. To-day, in the Supreme Court the solicitors to the provisional board. Messrs. Watts, and Armstrong, sought to recover £625 as costs incidental to obtaining a constitution for the board. Before the ca~e came to trial the defendants, who included Mr. George Parr and the members of the present board, agreed to pay the plaintiffs £:>l2 10/ in full settlement. Plaintiffs accepted this sum, and the case was struck out.
