The foUownf i* therecipe I use: lib wholemeal, jib wMto nour. o tablespoons brown sugar, 1 teaspooeM salt, 2 teaspoonfuls carbonate soda, 3 teaspoofr fuls baking powder, i cup chopped walirato«r dates, 1 pint milk (s-our or sweet). Mix iste soft dough, nut into buttered Pyrex dish, aai bake for about one hour in moderately beatei oven. Test with skewer or knife, which trill remain clean if bread is baked- A proportke of white flour is necessary for binding btcum if it is omitted wholemeil crumbles too a*k Wholemeal flour can be obtained from groeta MU3L
