PAYMENTS TO SUPPLIERS.

NORTHERN FACTORY RETURNS

The amount paid to suppliers of the Whangarei Dairy Company for butter in April last amountel to £8433 13/4, compared with £5330-18/11 for the corresponding month of last year, an increase of £3163 13/5. Payments were based on a rate of 1/OVi superfine in first grade, against 1/4 for superfine last year. For the season to April this year the total paid has- been £U6£3& 16/, compared with £104,842 18/3 for the same period last year. The Hikurangi Dairy Company paid out '£8004 12/4 for April's output, ma couxpaxed with £4455, 2/6 for April, 19X. showing an increase of £3519 9/10. The payout last month was 1/ for first grade, being 4d less than for April, 1920. A small extra payment of Id a lb wan made on butter produced in March of- last year. This amounted to £573 6/2, making the total amount of money distributed £8577 18/6. The total payout for the season to date is £113,887 8/8, compared with £»1,080 11/2 for the same period last yew, an increase of £22,808 17/ff. The payout for the Northern Wairon Dairy Company for the month of April was £13,463 at 1/ per lb, compared with £12,871 at 1/2 per lb for the corresponding month last year. For butterfat produced in April last the Bay of Islands Dairy Company paid out £33*2 re/5 at I/0 , ,* and If for super, compared with £2256 0/8 at 1/3 for April, 1928, when price p»id was 1/2. and for first grade %d extra. For superfine the season's payotft to the erid of last month was £43312 18/, as against £41,712 14/10 for the corresponding period last year.
