CARLTON CROQUET CLUB.
In submitting their nnnunl report at : the sixteenth annual meeting of the [ Carlton Croquet Club, with the president, Mrs. Hamilton, presiding, the committee ■ made special reference to the increased financial stability of the club through the promotion of social functions, a substan- ■ rial sum being got towards the upkeep of the club. The membership of the club had increased considerably, and the income for the year -was a record. On the other hand, the expenditure had been heavy, as was to be expected in establishing a new home. The trophies for the various competitions played during the season were presented to the winners:—A championship singles. Colonel Savile; runner-up. Miss 1.. Keatley. B championship singles, Mrs. Aitken; runner-up. Mrs. Lawrence. President's handicap. Mrs. Allsop; runner-up, Miss Keatley. Championship doubles, Mrs. Davy and Miss Keatley. Handicap doubles, Mrs. Wiison and Mrs. Bolitho. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted :—President. Mrs. Hamilton (re-elected) : vice-presidents, Mrs. C. Cueksey (re-elected) and Mrs. C. F. Snowden ; hon. secretary, Mrs. W. Perry (reelected) ; lion, treasurer, Mrs. T." Wilson Ire-elected) ; hon. auditor, Mrs. W. Perry (re-elected) ; general committee, Mesdame's Bolitho, Lawrence, Williams and Warin; match committee. Mesdames Davy. Wilson and Mr. Lawrence; green committee, Mesdames Hamilton, Laurie nnd Mr. Lawrence: delegates to Auckland Croquet Association. Mesdames Hamilton, Perry and Williams.
