HOBSON COUNTY COUNCIL.

DARGAvTLLE, this day.

At the monthly meeting of the Hobson County Council, councillors were pleased when they read the treasurer's statement for the month. This showed that since the last meeting £12,937 15/ had been received in rates, Government grants, Highways Board refund from loans, licenses, etc. The rates amounted to ! £6419 6/2. The credit balance stood at the previous meeting at £4601 16/5, and it now stands at £17,539 11/5. After taking off accounts passed since the previous meeting, £5335 11/5, there will *• a credit balance of £12,204 4/9.

Tha clerk said it was a record credit
