ROTORUA NIGHT TRAIN.

ENDS WITH CURRENT MONTH.

The Railway Department has decided to discontinue the night train from Frankton Junction to Rotorua and the corresponding train which leaves Rotorua for Frankton Junction at 4.57 p.m. daily. The services will cease after April 30. The train, which has been running for about six months has been of special service to people from Gisborne who have been enabled to leave very early in the morning and reach Auckland at 11 p.m. the same evening. It has also provided by far the fastest connection between Auckland and the thermal district and has permitted tourists to spend the whole day sight-seeing and arrive in town at night instead of passing the daylight hours in tha train There is no question, but that the connection will be very much missed bv many constant travellers and bv tourists
