Woodfield pleaded not guilty to p. I charge of assaulting Albert Edward ■ Searle. an ex-naval petty officer, and , John Moore Cassof. Searle said he spoke i to- another seams n who was under the influence of liquor, asking him to be quiet, and Woodfield then struck witness. One seaman gave evidence that ou the day of the assault the men, including the bosun, had had a •"tarpaulin muster" to bring liquor. A fine of 30/ on each charge was in ! flictcd.
