Death from blood poisoning, following injuries to her face, aceidently received, was the verdict of the coroner at the inquest this morning concerning the death of Edna Mav Serimgeour, aged 15. of Ashhurst.

The girl was feeding two horses at a trough, when one threw tip it<= head and struck her. Except for bleeding at the nose, no injury was apparent. The child assisted her step-father in his operations as trainer for three or four days. Later her face began to swell, and she was treated for mumps. Latoj -he was sent to hospital, where -lie died a few hours after her admission. A doctor said the girl .died from septic poinsoning of the large veins at the base of the brain. The parents were justified in thinking the child's injurieswere not serious.
