INDIAN HERB "ATAH."
SALAMAN ARRESTED.
AT HIS KHYBER PASS SHOP.
ALLEGED ATTEMPTED FALSE
PRETENCES.
Abraham Wally Mohamid Salaman, the well known Indian herb "atah," who carries on his business in a small shop in Khyber Pass, was arrested by detectives at 10 o'clock this morning.
The warrant of arrest was for attempted false pretences, and it was on this charge that Salaman was taken into custody. A considerable quantity of material used in connection with the business was seized by the detectives, a car and a large police van being requis. toned to convey this to the police station. While the police were busy carrying the material out to the vehicle's outsi_e shop, a largj crowd congreg i< and watched the proceedings with interest.
Salaman will later appear before the Police Court on the charge.
