MATRICULATION.
SUBJECT NEEDS CONSIDERATION. A recommendation that the University Entrance Board be requested to consider the whole subject of the matriculation and entrance scholarship examinations, with reference to (1) standard, (2) syllabus. (3) the system of markins. (4) accrediting by means of leaving certificates, and to forward their recommendations to the University Council through the Academic Board, was made to the council at to-day"s session in the form of a notice of motion "iveu bv Mr. A. K. Flower. The question of amendments to the statute "Matriculation'' was referred to in the report of the chairman of the Board of Studies. Further consideration is to be given to the matter' before making recommendations.
