ACCIDENT ON DARK ROAD. WOMAN" INJURED. (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. When walking up Burnett's Hill, between Whangarei and Kamo. about 0.15 on Saturday evening, Mr. T. Senton and his wife and daughter were overtaken bv a motor ear driven bv a "Mr Hcßeth. Before the ear was pulled up all three pedestrians were knocked down. Senton was thrown clear, but both the ladie* went under. Mrs. Senton received injuries to her forehead and scalp and was taken to the Whangarei Hospital, where an operation was performed. Her condition is not serious. Neither husband nor daughter was much hurt. This stretch of road is badly lighted, and has a tar-sealed surface.
