UNIVERSITY COUNCIL.
NOTICES OF MOTION
The following notices of motion were given at the meeting of the New Zealand University Council to-day, Professor J. Macmillan Brown (Chancellor) presiding: —
"That power be given the council to determine from time to time whether the officers of principal vice-chancel - lor shall or shall not be held by one and the same person, and the Government be asked to amend the Act accordingly."
"That the council place 011 record its appreciation of the valuable service* rendered by Professor J. Rankine Brown, late vice-chancellor of the Senate."
"That the committee dealing with the question of a vote for the election of graduates' representatives on the council be asked to report at the earliest possible moment as t<> the method of this particular election so that the Senate can consider proposed amendments to the statute."
